Jim O'Hara is an artist from Fort Benton, known for his bronze sculptures, specializing in life-size, bust, and monumental pieces. O'Hara's deep connection to his home state profoundly influences his work, which often reflects the region's rich history and culture, but with a bit of a twist.

Jim’s work can't help but make you smile, either from pure absurdity or amusement, either way Jim loves the reactions his art evokes. He’s received waves of support throughout the years, and is a man who stays true to his beliefs and morals, no matter what others may say. You may have seen Jim’s work in a gallery or someone’s home and thought, how did someone come up with this? But at his core, Jim creates the things that speak to him, and guide him through life in a light-hearted way.

O'Hara creates detailed and expressive sculptures. His dedication to his craft has earned him recognition within the art community, particularly in Montana. He participates in The Best of the West art show, and has remained a community favorite.

In addition to his artistic endeavors, O'Hara has been involved in public service. He served as a County Commissioner for Chouteau County, Montana, starting in 2001, and later represented District 27 in the Montana House of Representatives from 2017 to 2019.
